Review of Common Core Program and Courses

At the initial stage, the Committee on Undergraduate Core Education (CUCE) will conduct an annual review of the common core program and courses. The review will be conducted every three years after the program has been implemented for a few years.
The design and content of common core courses will be reviewed against the overall goals and objectives of the common core program and the specific learning outcomes of the relevant broad area.
The implementation quality of common core courses is evaluated by a close examination of the archived course materials, and student feedbacks collected through various channels. The CUCE will engage the Advisory Board (to be established) in the review process to allow external inputs to be taken into account.
The UCE Team will prepare an annual report to CUCE on program implementation issues, such as course enrollment statistics, student feedbacks and actions taken or to be taken to address the feedbacks. The CUCE will make recommendations for improvements upon review of the annual report. The annual report will be submitted to the CTLQ after the CUCE review. |
