Course Improvement

The Committee on Undergraduate Core Education (CUCE) monitors the quality of common core course offering regularly through mechanisms such as student course evaluations, student focus group meetings and surveys. All feedbacks collected will be taken into consideration in the evaluation of the course delivery and be used to suggest actions for improvements.

Instructors are strongly encouraged to conduct a mid-semester evaluation to solicit feedback from students, and discuss the feedback with students for bringing forth timely improvements to the course.

The end-of-semester course evaluation is conducted for all common core courses. The standard evaluation questionnaire will be used; additional questions, if deemed necessary, may be added to tailor to the specific needs of common core courses.

The UCE Team will solicit feedback through other channels, such as student focus group meetings or surveys, to supplement course evaluation data.
