![]() CompetencyThe new Common Core Program intentionally included attributes and skillsets, presented in forms of competencies, that are desired for our graduates. Competency describes students’ ability to master the knowledge and/or skills required to perform in tasks/real-life situations. Essential competencies are identified and will be taught and/or assessed along with academic knowledge in the 3 common core groups. These attributes and skillsets are categorized into 4 broad competencies which include 15 sub-competencies, whereby students will be assessed using a set of generic, standardized 5-point rubrics for each sub-competency.
