Schedule for Submitting Course Proposals

In view of the course approval process, Schools and Departments are reminded to follow the schedule for submitting course proposals to Undergraduate Core Education (UCE) Team, Academy of Interdisciplinary Studies such that the proposed new courses or course changes can be approved in good time to take effect in the term as planned.

For example, if a new course is planned to be offered in Spring 2025-26, the deadline for submitting the course proposal to the UCE Team is 4 August 2025. This proposal is expected to be considered by the Committee on Undergraduate Core Education (CUCE) at the October 2025 meeting and the Senate Committee on Undergraduate Studies (CUS) at the November 2025 meeting.

Departments and Schools may set up their own meeting schedule for endorsing course proposals and seeking concurrence from relevant unit(s) with regard to these submission deadlines. All course proposals need to be endorsed by the Department and School and concurred by the relevant unit(s) before they are submitted to UCE team, Academy of Interdisciplinary Studies.
