Many students, and parents too, believe that their major undertaking at university is academic studies in a specialized field, and make the important goal for themselves that they must graduate with good grades, because that will in turn bring to them a good job and a bright future ever after. But are these the only purposes for spending your fours year here?
The quality of your time at HKUST is largely determined by your own views and attitude towards university education. In this talk, Prof King Chow, the Academic Director of Undergraduate Core Education, will share with you (new or continuing) some other values and perspectives of university education besides getting good grades for your studies.
