A ceramic is an inorganic, nonmetallic solid prepared by the action of heat and subsequent cooling. Ceramic materials may have a crystalline or partly crystalline structure, or may be amorphous (e.g., a glass).
Joe and Jonathan will share their works to participants. They will demonstrate how to use the materials and the techniques to create the figures.
Artist's Profile
Joe ceramics under Mr Tsang Hung Yu. He started his career in ceramics creation since 1985. He has participated and was well-recognized in a lot of ceramics competitions and exhibitions worldwide in the past 20 years such as International Ceramics Biennal, Cheongju International Craft Biennale, Philippe Charriol towards 2000 Exhibition. He set up his own studio in 1994 to teach people to create ceramics.
His son, Jonathan, is under his apprenticeship. After he finished his studies in 2008, he devoted himself in his father’s workshop to teach teenagers on ceramics creation. He won the first prize in Ceramics Tea Wares Competition in 2010. |
