Cell Phone Radiation Leads To A Global Epidemic

Are you aware of potential health risks and dangers caused by cell phone radiation? We may hear about these from time to time through messages circulated among our friends, the social network, or occasionally a documentary on radio or television. Usually mobile phone companies will not alert us to such warnings or information before the actual purchase.

As mentioned in this article, Dr Devra Davis, President of the Environmental Health Trust, and former White House adviser, told that there are over 500 studies on the ill effects of exposure to cell phone radiation, and pressed the cell phone companies to disclose the facts about known health risks and to advise people how to use them safely.

As more and more people are using smart phones these days, will it help if the Hong Kong Government enacts a cell phone Right-to-Know ordinance? This is simply about letting consumers have the right to know, before purchase of the phone, about any risks associated with using a cell phone and how to use the phone safely.

Or, should there be wider publicity about safe use of cell phones, such as keeping the phone at a distance when you sleep, not putting cell phone in the pants pocket when you go out, etc.? Do share some good tips or feasible ways if you come across any.

I think it cannot stop people from buying and using smartphones even if the government inform the public of the potential hazard. It is too late as smartphone has become a trend and our way of communication has changed. There is actually no other choices.
